and the nominees are...

This year is all about the ladies. Taylor Swift has already run away with the majority of awards in 2009, and she’s towards the top here too, earning eight nominations including Record of the Year and Album of the Year. But somewhere out there, Kanye West is smiling, because his girl Beyonce bested Ms. Swift with a total of ten nods.

Also worth noting — the boys of The Lonely Island are nominated for their music video “I’m on a Boat” featuring T-Pain. Nice to see the nomination committee has a sense of humor…

m.i.a.

my apologies for the lack of blogging…

here’s what i’ve been up to in a nutshell in no particular order:

  • week off from work = turkey, family, visiting friends & retail therapy
  • cleaning & settling into my new house
  • catching up on some reading
  • sleeping in (my favorite pasttime)
  • marathon cheering section (jenny just made the Boston cutoff by 3 mins!)

here’s to not having a full week of work for the rest of 2009 :) and lookout Nashville…looks like i’m spending NYE in NashVegas

Fri Nov 20
Jenny is running the Philly marathon this Sunday so she can qualify for Boston’s!  While I personally can’t envision running 26.2 miles consecutively in life, it is a phenomenal act.  Follow her progress at philadelphiamarathon.com by looking for her number 3824 to see if she makes the 3:40 cutoff…
